Sangiovese, Malvasia Nera: jointly or alone, minimum 80%; grapes from other vines, having similar coloured berries, may be combined for the production of the said wine, recommended and/or authorised by the Province of Arezzo, up to a maximum of 20%.
Characteristics
Colour: between amber and topaz with a reddish shade that becomes brown with ageing;
smell: intense, rich, complex, of mature fruit and other shades;
taste: distinguished, persistent with a sweet aftertaste;
alcohol content: 18,00% of which a minimum of 15% carried out and a minimum of 4,5% to be carried out;
minimum total acidity: 4,5 g/l;
minimum net dry extract: 25,0 g/l.
